  • The family finally gets some help from Bernice Calhoun.
  • Betsey was really mad that some random lady has showed her mother her hiding place ; a place for relaxation.
  • The children started to cause a lot of problems for Ms. Calhoun
  • Betsey had cause Ms. Calhoun to get fired.
  • Veejay got really mad at Betsey because Ms. Calhoun had the same occupation as her mother.

  • In this part of the novel Betsey Brown was discoving her meaner sides. She got a worker fired and she lost a friend but at least she got a kiss from Eugene Boyd which made her week.
